Isola Chambers - H.BA., McGill University
Isola has studied English language and literature at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, developing a strong foundation in critical analysis, academic writing, and communication. Throughout her post-secondary education, she worked consistently as a peer tutor, helping fellow students with assignment and reading comprehension, essay writing and editing, lecture comprehension and support, and general academic coaching.
Professionally, Isola has worked as a copywriter, blog writer, ghostwriter, and translator (Italian to English). Her creative work includes editing several creative magazines and producing two short films. Her current research focuses on critical social and political thought.
Isola is also fluent in Italian and holds a certification in Italian history and culture from the Laboratorio Internazionale della Comunicazione in Friuli.
Though her experiences and interests are varied, Isola’s enduring passion is literature and the critical analysis of the written word. As a tutor, she is dedicated to helping students strengthen their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while building the confidence they need to express their ideas clearly and thoughtfully.
